A Missa do Gallo (Midnight Mass)

about

The fifth in this series of dark ambient/narrative recordings, A Missa do Gallo, is a provocative enigma. A young student eagerly awaits to witness midnight mass in Rio de Janeiro for the first time. As he waits at his uncle's home, he becomes engaged in a conversation with the mistress of the house whose intentions are acute but ambiguous. De Assis' softly surrealistic tale of unspoken intimations is reminiscent and fleeting, a capsule in time.
